Starting a label for climbing clothing isn’t just a challenge, most of the time it is close to impossible to get it running to a point were it is running well. At least you need a long breath. So i’m more than happy that the label friends of mine started some years ago is now coming to a state where it gets more and more attention, what also means that they are on the right track. I think beside doing cool designs it is also about their eco-friendly philosophy, what is a big part of their success. The have different labels, which stand for different things, like the organic label or care-wear-label, which stands for social and ethnical correct trading. Also they have the protection label. That stands for their support for the mountain gorrilas in Rwanda, what i’m really happy about since i spent time in Rwanda earlier this year and got a little inside look how endangered their life is, surrounded by war and conflict and the poachers.
So if you wanna have nice shirts and at the same time support some good ideas behind it, visit the Monkee website. And for your excitment, here is the recent imagefilm:
And here’s a short flick my girlfriend took of the Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda. Enjoy!
