Bronx Rock Invitational 09 – last infos

The structures for this years Bronx Rock Invitational should be finished today. Yesterday we came together for a last meeting before the event to figure out the last bits and pieces that are still to fix. One of the points was also the determination of the srewing sections for the competitors. Udo and i made a short walk around the structures to explain it a bit:

Maybe the saddest news we got yesterday, came from Dave, who is still suffering with his broken foot. And as no one honestly would like to see him climb with a hurting foot with the possibility that it get even worse again by falling of the high boulders, we decided to remove him from the line-up. Even when it might be a loss for the event in cases of Dave’s understanding of climbing and his entertainment, but no one wanna be responsible for a new injury of Dave, trust me.

Markus JungAnd we also found a substitute in Markus Jung, the young brother of Daniel, killing it right now in the Frankenjura, where he is doing his civil service right now. 8c’s and harder in a couple of tries and so on is a word and you could count that he will be a powerful addition to the line-up.

We are pretty stoked about how the whole event turns out to be on Saturday. The venue is amazing and the competitors are absolute top notch in the game. So don’t miss this event!
