Copenhagen, Airport, some days ago: The counter sign only blinks blue with two words that mean nothing good for me: Counter closed. I’m on my way back to Cologne for the Bronx Rock Invitational and i just missed my plane. Luckily i have a couple of days left, at least two and after letting the woman at the counter (she is still there, giving me the feeling that it might have been only a couple of minutes that i missed the plane), a short freak out and a waiting period at the new-ticket counter with a guy who also missed the plane with the option going without his bike or not going into the plane ’cause it was to late, the only option left for the moment is a plane ticket the next day for 250 Euros. No real option, especially when i think that i paid that much for a flight to India. My girlfriend is just smiling, trying to convience me that i could also spent another day with her at teh sea and then take the train the other day.

One of the things i learned over the years of travelling is: There might be things happening that aren’t planned like that, but there is always another option and most of the times this new option turns out to be the better one or at least gives you a different view or experience. At the end it was exactly like that again. I had a wonderful day south of Copenhagen with my girlfriends family and took the train the next day. The nice thing about taking the train south to Germany is the ferry you take to Puttgarden. The whole train just drives into the ferry and then it’s all about 45 min of fresh sea breath. I might have lost a day or two, but any minute of it was worth missing the flight. So easy is life sometimes… Here are a couple of random shots from the ferry.
