for thousands of miles

It  was a couple of month ago when i stumbled somewhere in the social media universe upon a project that directly catched my attention. ‘For thousands of miles’, a self-financed independent film project, following a lonely bicycle rider on his way from coast to coast. What does it take to leave everything behind and go on a journey like this? The film will be a documentary about a bicycle trip on the first hand, but as Mike Ambs, the man behind the project, points out, also about motivation and the passion behind it. The principle photography lasted 64 days in 2007. The film is not edited yet, but what is ready to watch is the behind the scenes film, properly called 64 days. It is really personal sometimes and gives a great insight in what it takes to get a project like this going.
