As some of you might remember, i started a new documentary project some weeks ago that will follow the danish Reggae/ Dancehall band Von Dü on their way for the rest of the year. The project will be containing shortfilms, audioslideshows, pictures, you name it. The whole multimedia thing. But more importantly, it will tell the story of the band. I will start shooting short personal films of each one of the band, we are planning a shoot for their first music video in the famous freetown Christiania in June and a lot of small stories around their band life like songwriting, visuals, management, recording, rehearsals and so on, will be coming up, to get behind the fassade of the classic ‘a bit of backstage footage plus some concert stuff = band documentary’. Now you might say, but that is really interesting. Yes, of course, and last week we made exactly that when shooting the day of their release party or the two concerts they played on the first of may. I made a sub-website for the project, what i hope you will like. I’m happy to get feedback or nice ideas what would be interesting to cover, so let me know.
